What file size to expect
Combining 10 typical screenshot PNGs (each 500 KB-1 MB) into one PDF produces a file of roughly 6-12 MB because PNGs embed losslessly. Fit-to-image keeps file size directly proportional to input size; A4/Letter with margins may slightly increase per-page overhead but keeps scaling consistent. For much smaller PDFs, convert PNGs to JPG first.
Technical notes: PNG → PDF
PNGs embed in PDF via the FlateDecode filter (same DEFLATE algorithm PNGs use internally) — the pixel data is preserved losslessly. When a PNG has transparency, the PDF renderer composites it against the page's white background, since PDF pages have no alpha channel for the page itself. Embedded ICC profiles are preserved. Page sizes: A4 = 210×297mm, US Letter = 216×279mm, fit-to-image scales each page to the PNG's pixel dimensions at 72 DPI.

Generated PDFs use PDF 1.7 (widely supported since Acrobat 8, 2006) and open in every modern viewer — Adobe Acrobat, Preview, Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, iOS Files, and Android Drive. The conversion runs entirely in-browser using pdf-lib in JavaScript.
