Acceptance

By using FileExpert.io, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Service description

FileExpert.io provides free, browser-based file conversion and transformation tools. All processing happens locally in your browser; we do not upload or store your files.

Provided as-is

The service is provided “as is” without any warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that the tools will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of data loss. Always keep a backup of your original files.

Data loss and file corruption

Because all processing happens inside your browser, we have no copy of your files and cannot recover them if something goes wrong. A browser tab crash, device memory exhaustion, or an interrupted download can leave you with a corrupted or missing output file. Always keep the original copy of any file you process. FileExpert.io is not responsible for lost, corrupted, or damaged files resulting from use of the service.

Your responsibilities

  • You must own or have rights to any files you process.
  • You must not use the service to process content that is illegal in your jurisdiction.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.

Prohibited content

You may not use FileExpert.io to process, convert, or otherwise handle:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors.
  • Copyrighted material you do not own or do not have a valid license to use.
  • Content that is defamatory, threatening, harassing, or that incites violence.
  • Malware, exploits, or files designed to harm other users or systems.
  • Any material that is illegal to create, possess, or distribute in your jurisdiction.

Because processing happens entirely in your browser, we have no visibility into the files you handle. Responsibility for compliance with this policy rests entirely with you. We reserve the right to cooperate with law enforcement if required.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FileExpert.io and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including without limitation loss of data, profits, or goodwill.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
